Reza Pratisca Hasibuan
B. 1994
Reza Pratisca Hasibuan is a young Indonesian artist recognized for her distinctive style that merges surrealism and pop art. Inspired by her painter father, Reza has consistently developed a techno style in her work, frequently using robots and machines as metaphors. Her art predominantly illustrates themes such as the proliferation of technology, the unfolding of modernization, and over-indulgence in social media. Reza aims to continually explore new media and subjects to express her creativity and build a powerful body of work. Her talent has been widely acknowledged: she is the notable winner of the prestigious Basoeki Abdullah Art Award in 2016 and was nominated as a finalist for the UOB Painting of the Year competition three years in a row, from 2015 to 2017.
