Step-by-Step Guide
1. Submit Your Artwork
Submit your artwork to us through our website, email, or WhatsApp. Please include:
- High-quality photographs of the artwork from multiple angles.
- Details about the painting, such as the title, size, medium, and provenance (ownership history).
- Current Location of the painting.
This information will help our team evaluate whether your painting is suitable for our auction.
2. Evaluation and Inspection
Our team will review your submission and determine if your artwork can be featured in our auction. This step includes providing a preliminary estimate of what your item could achieve at auction. If needed, we may request a physical inspection of the painting to ensure its authenticity and condition.
3. Consignment Agreement
Once the valuation is complete and you decide to proceed, we will prepare a consignment agreement. This document outlines the terms of the sale, including:
- The agreed-upon estimates and reserves (the minimum price you’re willing to accept).
- The auction schedule and other relevant details.
The consignment agreement ensures that both parties are clear on all terms before proceeding to the auction.
4. Fees
Seller is responsible for applicable administrative, commission and insurance fees as agreed by Global Auction and the Seller.
5. Shipping
You can send your artwork directly to our office in Jakarta or Singapore. Alternatively, our team can help arrange the delivery of your property to Global Auction's office in either location. Whether you need assistance with pickup or arranging the shipment, we're here to help. For more details, please contact our team.
6. Promotion and Auction
Once your item is confirmed for auction, it will be featured in our auction catalogue and promoted to our network of collectors, dealers, and art enthusiasts to ensure maximum visibility. Selected lots will also be highlighted on our social media channels to reach an even broader audience.
7. Auction Day & Post-Sale
- If your item is sold: Payment will be processed promptly to a maximum of 30 business days after Closing Day, and you will receive your proceeds minus any agreed-upon fees.
- If unsold: We will work with you to determine the best options for your artwork. You may choose to take it back or explore alternative sale opportunities with our guidance to ensure the best possible outcome. We also offer the option to store your artwork at our office for a storage fee.
