Global Auction Presents 192 Masterpieces in This November 2025 Auction

This November, the art world once again turns its attention to Jakarta and Singapore as Global Auction unveils its much-anticipated Southeast Asian, Chinese, Modern & Contemporary Art Auction. Running from 25 October to 22 November 2025, the season showcases 192 outstanding lots encompassing paintings, sculptures, and ceramics.

Among the highlights are remarkable works by Indonesian masters Hendra Gunawan, Widayat, S. Sudjojono, Adrien Jean Le Mayeur de Merprès, Ahmad Sadali, and other acclaimed artists across the region. The season will culminate in a live online auction on Saturday, 8 November 2025, at 3 PM (UTC+7).

Auction Highlights

Widayat was one of Indonesia’s most distinctive modern painters who developed a decorative and symbolic style inspired by batik patterns and natural life. In Flora Fauna, he portrays animals and plants such as elephants, deer, and trees arranged in a harmonious rhythm over a warm brown background. The composition reflects his technical mastery and sensitivity to the beauty of nature.

Hendra Gunawan was a pioneering figure of Indonesian modern art known for his expressive use of color and his empathy for everyday life. Banana Seller depicts a lively market scene centered on a woman offering bananas, surrounded by villagers in warm conversation. The earthy palette and bold brushstrokes convey movement, vitality, and a deep sense of humanity.

Ni Bawang II by Antonio Blanco

Tiger by Feng Dazhong

Feng Dazhong is a leading Chinese painter renowned for his mastery of the gongbi technique and lifelong devotion to the tiger as his subject. In Tiger, the animal stands alert beneath a full moon, rendered with fine precision and tonal layering. The work captures both the strength and calm spirit that define Feng’s vision of nature.
