Fadjar Djunaedi
B. 1970
Fadjar Djunaedi was born in Batu on June 17, 1970, into a family of artists. During his high school years, he often took part in painting competitions, which sparked his interest and led him to pursue painting more seriously. He went on to study Fine Arts at the Department of Visual Arts, IKIP Malang (now Universitas Negeri Malang) from 1989 to 1994.
Fadjar’s paintings are distinguished by a style reminiscent of a child’s drawing: honest, natural, and driven by pure feeling. However, beneath this seemingly naïve quality lies a strong foundation in the principles of fine art. In 1995, he moved to Bali to further his painting experience. His first international exhibition took place in 2009 at Art Expo Malaysia, followed by exhibitions in other countries, including China and Hungary.
