Chen Wen Ling (b. 1969, Fujian, China) is one of China’s most internationally recognized contemporary sculptors. He trained at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing. His works have been shown worldwide, including at the Venice Biennale, Sculpture by the Sea in Australia, and in major collections such as the National Art Museum of China, the White Rabbit Collection in Australia, and the Houston Museum of Fine Arts in the United States. Later series like Happy Life and God of Materialism take on a more satirical tone, exploring consumerism, greed, and the fine line between human and animal instincts.
