Teguh Sariyanto
B. 1996
Teguh Sariyanto is a multidisciplinary artist currently studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta. Formerly a textile designer in Bandung, his practice spans painting, printmaking, sculpture, found objects, and installation.
Focusing on overlooked everyday objects—like surface speckles, irregular stones, or crooked branches—he reinterprets and reconstructs them into new compositions of form and color. For Teguh, these explorations are rooted in the belief that "when we seek meaning from different perspectives of an object, we discover extraordinary things—because God does not create anything in vain." His work invites viewers to pause, observe, and reflect on the unseen significance within the mundane and overlooked elements of the natural world
