Galam Zulkifli
B. 1971
Born in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, Galam Zulkifli studied art at IKIP Yogyakarta and is known for his distinctive style that combines social commentary with personal reflection. His work often centers on the themes of birth, marriage, and death, using these milestones to explore bigger questions about politics, culture, and morality.
In 2000, he co-founded Komunitas Gelaran Budaya with fellow artists to encourage collaboration and cultural dialogue. His achievements include being twice named a Top 5 finalist in the Indonesian Art Awards and a finalist in the ASEAN Art Award.
