F. Widayanto is one of Indonesia’s most well-known ceramic artists, known for blending technical mastery with storytelling. His passion for art began in childhood and led him to study ceramics at Institut Teknologi Bandung, graduating in 1981. After starting in commercial pottery, he established his own studio in Tapos, Bogor in 1991, where he developed his distinctive sculptural style. His works often carry whimsical or allegorical narratives, and he has held numerous solo exhibitions in both ceramics and drawing, including a charcoal drawing show in Jakarta in 2000.
