Wayan Kun Adnyana is an artist, writer, curator, and educator. He earned his Master’s degree from ISI Yogyakarta (2008, cum laude) and completed his doctorate in 2015, focusing on Balinese art studies. Since 2003, he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, ISI Denpasar, while also curating for leading galleries such as Galeri Nasional Indonesia, Art:1 Jakarta, Tonyraka Gallery, and Gajah Gallery Singapore.
Kun has exhibited widely, including solo and group shows such as Kamasukha (Genta Gallery, 2003), Tour de Java (Jakarta, 2005), Neo Nation Biennale Yogyakarta (2007), and the Sanur Art Festival (Denpasar). He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Widya Pataka Award from the Bali Provincial Government (2007), the Parpostel Youngest Artist Award (1998), and nominations for the Jakarta Art Award and UOB Painting of the Year. Alongside his practice, he writes extensively on art and culture for national media and has co-authored several books, including Pita Prada: The Golden Creativity (2009).
