Oky Rey Montha, or Kyre, is one of Indonesia’s most distinctive contemporary artists. A graduate of the Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Yogyakarta, he creates energetic, colorful works that merge pop surrealism, comics, and spiritual imagination. His paintings often feature eccentric figures and chaotic narratives that reflect both humor and hardship drawn from his own life.
Oky has participated in numerous exhibitions across Indonesia and abroad, including the Jogja Art Fair, Biennale Jogja X, and See the Sound at Ars Longa Gallery, Yogyakarta. In addition to painting, he also explores other mediums such as installation and performance art, expanding his creative expression beyond the canvas.
