I Nyoman Budiarta is a passionate and dedicated artist whose guiding mission is to bring joy to others through his work. His signature style centers on the slowly fading landscapes of Bali, reflecting both his longing for his birthplace and his quiet call for Balinese communities to stand against the pressures of rapid modernization. His narratives and techniques draw from Balinese traditionalism, executed with a small brush and a pointillist approach that allows the depth of Balinese daily life to shine through.

Raised in Bali, Budiarta grew up surrounded by art as a natural part of everyday life. He works with simple brush techniques, scratching and shading in ways he learned from the people around him. For him, being an artist is both a profession that supports his family and a way to give back to his community. He believes that understanding and responding to people’s tastes is essential, a perspective shaped by his background in architecture, where translating people’s needs into visual form is at the core of the discipline.
