Untung Wahono comes from an artistic family, sharing his father’s talent with his four siblings. He has actively participated in exhibitions, including Jakarta On The Spot at Plaza Indonesia and Galeri Pasar Seni (2004). His achievements include receiving an art award from the President of Indonesia at the Presidential Palace (2002) and being a finalist in the UOB Painting of the Year competition (2012).
Wahono’s strength lies in his distinctive compositions of shapes and colors, combined with the naïve quality of his figures. Rarely leaving his canvases bare, he often draws inspiration from childhood themes, which serve as the central source of his visual ideas.
