Budi Eka Putra is an established artist from Sumatra, Indonesia whose deep concern for nature and the environment is rooted in his personal experiences. Born and raised in Riau, he grew up near forests that witnessed alarming levels of illegal logging. These early encounters shaped both his worldview and his creative direction. His works emphasize the urgent need to respect and restore the natural world.
Influenced by Piet Mondrian, Joan Miró, and René Magritte, Budi has developed a distinctive style of decorative realism, blending figurative abstraction with ornamental elements. He is an award-winning artist whose works have been exhibited in major cities across Indonesia, as well as in Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia.
