S. Yadi K. was born in Banyuwangi in 1958. He began learning painting in 1997 and soon gained recognition as one of the Top 100 finalists of the Philip Morris Art Award. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous exhibitions in major Indonesian cities, including Jakarta, Bali, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, and Banyuwangi. Together with art critic Agus Darmawan T., he also conducted cultural visits to museums and galleries in Spain, Greece, Turkey, and Egypt.
Widely regarded as one of Indonesia’s notable painters, S. Yadi K has presented his works in both national and international exhibitions. His solo shows have been held at Edwin Gallery and Taman Ismail Marzuki in Jakarta. One of his significant works, Paju Gandrung, is part of the Presidential Palace collection.
