I Gede Mahendra Yasa studied at the Denpasar Art Institute and has taken part in key exhibitions such as Democracy in Visual Expression (2000), CP Open Biennale (2003), Cooking & History at Cemeti Art House (2004), Membaca Realisme at Nava Gallery (2005), CP Biennale 2005 at Museum Bank Indonesia, and the Langgeng Contemporary Art Festival (2006).
Mahendra Yasa builds his paintings through lines, textures, and precise compositions, then enlarges small details into dense, sensory surfaces that invite viewers to question what they see. His strong curiosity for materials leads him to constant exploration and experimentation, allowing him to use abstraction as a way to convey history, context, and experience.
