Alit Sembodo
1973 – 2003
As a contemporary Indonesian artist, Alit Sembodo is known for his distinctive style, reflecting themes of human destruction, chaos, and apocalyptic imagery. His works are held by collectors in Taiwan, Singapore, and various European countries. Notable awards he has received include the Pratisara Affandi Adhi Karya (1999), Indonesian Art Awards (1999, 2000), and the Philip Morris ASEAN Art Awards (1999, 2000). Though he passed away in 2003 at the age of 30, his work remains impactful and sought after due to its limited availability.
