Agapetus Agus Kristiandana
Agapetus Agus Kristiandana, born in Yogyakarta on 6 August 1968, is a painter and sculptor known for his imaginative works featuring animals and fables. After graduating from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta, he continued his studies at the Master of Commerce program in Wollongong, New South Wales.
Working in both two- and three-dimensional forms, Kristiandana often embraces a surrealist style in his paintings and sculptures. He received an award at the Indonesian Art Award in 2000 and held his first solo exhibition, Fourth Horizon, in Jakarta in 2003. His group exhibitions include Ayo Ngguyu at Bentara Budaya Yogyakarta, Dari Kita Untuk Kita in Jakarta, and PseudoStill Life: Objek dan Auranya in Semarang (2005).
