Su Xinping
Su Xinping (b. Jining, Inner Mongolia, 1960) is a prominent Chinese painter and printmaker known for adapting Western figurative techniques to explore the psychological and social realities of contemporary China. After serving in the People's Liberation Army, he studied at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and later earned a master’s degree in printmaking from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1989, where he now serves as a senior professor and Vice President.
Su first gained recognition for his powerful black and white prints reflecting the social changes during the reform era of Deng Xiaoping. His works have been exhibited internationally and are held in major collections including the British Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Victoria, and the National Art Museum of China.
