Djoko Pekik
Djoko Pekik was born in Grobogan in 1937. He studied painting under Trubus and Hendra Gunawan at the Indonesian Art Academy (ASRI) in Yogyakarta.
Due to his involvement with the LEKRA organization, he was forced to stop painting for a period. However, in the 1980s, he resumed his artistic career and participated in numerous exhibitions, including Indonesian Culture in the United States (KIAS) and the Asian Art Exhibition in Japan. He also held several solo exhibitions in Jakarta and Yogyakarta.
