Ronald has held several solo exhibitions, including "The Final Judgement" at Umahseni, Jakarta (2010); "The Final Judgement 2" at Art Stage, Singapore (2011); and exhibitions at Sydney Contemporary 13, Australia (2013).
Ronald has received several awards, including the Affandi Prize (1976); Creativity Art Direction Magazine Award for Illustration, USA (1990); Indofood Art Award (2003); and was a finalist in the Sovereign Asian Art Prize, Hong Kong (2007).
Ronald produces paintings in a hyper-realistic style often resembling photographs. His works are noted for their resemblance to classical European art, infused with humor. He was also a key figure in the Kepribadian Apa (PiPa) group during the 1970s-1980s, advocating for contemporary art.
