I Fantje
Born in Mojoagung, East Java in 1931, I Fantje studied art in Jakarta and later in Europe. In 1962, he joined a study tour across Europe, enriching his artistic perspective. He was commissioned by the Indian Society in Indonesia to paint a portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, reflecting his growing reputation. Fantje participated in various group exhibitions across Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and Japan, including in 1967.
