Endira F. Julianda studied Graphic Design at the Bandung Institute of Technology, graduating in 2007. Her practice is rooted in close observation of human life, with a particular focus on domestic spaces and the structural relationship between humans and nature. Taking influence from photography and cinema, her work is rendered in a monochromatic, photo-realistic manner that produces images at once dark and enigmatic. She works primarily in watercolour, demonstrating the medium's full range from its characteristic translucency to denser, matte surfaces heavy with pigment.
Her work has been exhibited across Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Germany, with a solo presentation at Nunu Fine Art in Taipei (2014) and group shows at Edwin's Gallery in Jakarta and Galeri Semarang, among others. Beyond her studio practice, Endira is deeply engaged in the broader art ecosystem. She has worked as art director across commercial and independent projects spanning product design, music, and feature film, managed the programme at Platform3 (2014–2017), directed the Bandung Contemporary Art Awards #5 (2017), and is a founder of both GildaEstetika and the Rakarsa Foundation in Bandung.
