Zulfa Hendra is an Indonesian contemporary painter graduated from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta. He is recognised for his distinctive approach to contemporary painting, exploring the relationship between form, space, and visual perception through carefully structured compositions. His practice reflects a balance between technical precision and conceptual inquiry, often transforming everyday subjects into quiet visual meditations.
Based in Yogyakarta, Zulfa Hendra is a member of Kelompok Genta, an influential collective of contemporary artists that has contributed to the city's vibrant artistic landscape. His works have been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including a solo exhibition at Dirix Art Gallery, Yogyakarta (2003), as well as exhibitions such as Behind the Realism at V Gallery Yogyakarta, An Approach to Indonesian Contemporary Art at BIASA Art Space, Bali, Kecil Itu Indah at Edwin's Gallery, Jakarta, and Silence Landscape at Mon Décor Gallery (2006).
