Guido Odierna
1913 – 1991
Guido Odierna was an Italian painter born in Capri, known for his luminous seascapes, landscapes, and coastal scenes across Capri, Naples, Venice, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast. He studied at the Royal Academy and under noted masters including seascape painter Cavalier Michele Federico and Russian painter Konstantin Gorbatov.
Odierna spent his summers in Capri, often climbing down to the sea's edge to absorb its beauty firsthand, and his winters in Rome. This deep connection to place is felt throughout his work, where the waters of Capri, Venice, and Trieste each carry their own mood and personality. Over a career spanning decades, he held more than 35 solo exhibitions across Italy and participated in group shows in France and the United States.
