Kamchorn Soonpongsri is a Thai artist, scholar, and author born in Lopburi, Thailand. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Silpakorn University in Bangkok before pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at the Otis Art Institute in the United States. Alongside his artistic practice, Kamchorn has devoted many years to researching and writing on both Asian and Western art history.
Known for his refined technique and strong academic foundation, Kamchorn has exhibited extensively in Thailand and internationally since the 1950s. His works have been presented in exhibitions across Bangkok, Denmark, Australia, and the United States, including shows featuring leading contemporary Thai artists. Throughout his career, he has received several prestigious awards, including the Silver Medal and Bronze Medal in painting at Thailand’s National Exhibition of Art.
