B. 1963
Born in Selat, Sangeh, Bali, in 1963, Agung Mangu Putra graduated with a degree in Visual Communication Design from the Indonesia Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta. His work has been recognized with prestigious awards, such as the Philip Morris Indonesia Art Awards 1994, and his solo exhibitions have graced galleries across Indonesia and Singapore.
Mangu Putras artistic journey is deeply rooted in his connection to the natural world and his cultural heritage. His paintings often explore themes of nature, culture, and the tensions between them. He depicts natural phenomena with a keen eye for detail, capturing the essence of mountains, coasts, and aquatic life.
