Tisna Sanjaya is a highly acclaimed Indonesian artist. He graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in 1986, majoring in Fine Art and Design, and later pursued his master's and doctoral degrees in Germany. Sanjaya's work has been featured in numerous international and domestic group exhibitions. Notable participations include "Membaca Frida Kahlo" (Jakarta, 2001), "Offside World Cup 2002 Football Print" at the Hiroshima Museum of Contemporary Art (Japan, 2002), and the prestigious Venice Biennale, Italy (2003).
His talent has been widely recognized; he was named among the Top 10 Indonesian Artists in the Philip Morris ASEAN Art Award in 2005, a Top 5 artist in the same award in 1997, and won the 4th Sapporo International Print Biennale in Japan in 1998. In 2014, Tisna Sanjaya was also honored with the Anugerah Adhikarya Rupa in the personal category, solidifying his standing as a significant figure in Indonesian contemporary art.
