B. 1977
Xie Aige is a contemporary Chinese sculptor born in Hunan Province. She graduated from Shanghai Fine Arts College and later taught in the Cultural and Art Design Department at Tongji University in Shanghai. Working primarily in bronze, Xie's sculptures explore the relationship between humanity and nature through quiet, contemplative figures that evoke innocence, hope, and inner peace. Her works often incorporate symbolic motifs such as birds, representing freedom, and apples, symbolising desire and aspiration.
Her sculptures have been presented in numerous solo exhibitions across China and Singapore, including Quiet Energy Produces Wisdom (2018), Small World (2015), and Tree Top Memories (2014), and are held in major public and private collections including the Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art, Beijing Capital Airport, Kerry Centre Shanghai, Changsha IFS, and the Kohler Corporation in the United States.
