B. 1964
F. Sigit Santoso was born in Ngawi, East Java in 1964. In 1993, he completed his art education at Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI), Yogyakarta. Sigit's work first appeared in a group exhibition in 2001 at “Kecil Itu Indah 9” at Edwin’s Gallery, Jakarta, and the “Art Singapore – Contemporary Asian Art Exhibition” in Singapore.
Since then, his works have frequently been featured in various exhibitions and he also has received several awards, including Top 10 Paintings at The Philip Morris Group Indonesian Art Awards (1994) and Finalist at The Sovereign Asian Art Prize in Hong Kong (2006, 2007).
