Ugo Untoro is an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans installations, sculptures, comics, paintings, drawings, and objects, often probing the depths of human existence. A graduate of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta, his career highlights include solo shows such as Rindu Lukisan Merasuk di Badan at the National Gallery of Indonesia (2019) and Poem of Blood at the Rome Contemporary Art Fair (2009). His awards include the Philip Morris Award (1994) and Tempo magazine’s Man of the Year (2007).
