Ni Nyoman Sani is a Balinese artist who has built an international reputation for her distinctive paintings. After earning her Fine Arts degree from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Denpasar in 2001, she became a full-time artist and has since exhibited widely in Indonesia and abroad. She has participated in residencies such as Haarlem, the Netherlands (2010), and the Bali-Darwin Artist Camp (2014–2016).
Her works are held in the Tropenmuseum, the Asia-Africa Museum in Frankfurt, and the Njana Tilem Museum in Ubud. Her career was documented in The Paintings of Ni Nyoman Sani (2005), and in 2023 she won First Place in the UOB Painting of the Year award.
