I Wayan Pengsong (1943-2016) was recognized as an Impressionist Decoratif artist. His work often reflected the unique architecture of Lombok, driven by his passion to capture images from his beloved homeland. Pengsong possessed a remarkable ability to transform monochrome palettes into vibrant, beautiful depictions of Lombok's surroundings.
He held numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout his career. Since 1963, he participated in collective exhibitions at various venues, including GNI Mataram, Suranadi Hotel, Lombok, Lombok University Student Hall, and Bentara Budaya, Jakarta. His international presence included shows in Darwin, Australia, and the Triennale at Denpasar Art Center, Bali. In 1997, he held a "World Fund" exhibition at his own Peng Song Gallery in Cakranegara, and in 1998, his work was featured in the Ministry of Educational and Culture Collection Exhibition.
