Do Duy Tuan is a Vietnamese artist who graduated from the National Fine Art College of Hue in 1974. He is a member of both the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association and the Vietnamese Fine Arts Association. Before 1975, he actively participated in numerous art activities in Hue and Da Nang. Due to family circumstances, he stepped away from art for many years and returned to his artistic career in 1994. His comeback quickly drew attention.
Recognized as one of Vietnam’s most talented contemporary artists, Do Duy Tuan is admired for his profound, introspective approach and Zen-like sensibility. He is best known for paintings of women portrayed in somber, dreamlike atmospheres, often executed in mixed media.
His works have been exhibited internationally, and he has earned numerous awards throughout his career, including two Certificates of Recognition from the Philip Morris ASEAN Art Awards.
