Ida Bagus Indra
Ida Bagus Indra, also known as IBI, was born in 1974 and held his first exhibition in 1996, quickly establishing himself as a significant presence in the Indonesian art scene. He gained wider recognition after receiving an award at the 2003 Indonesian Art Awards and has since held solo exhibitions at venues such as the Lynne Wilton Gallery in Melbourne, the Ganesha Gallery at the Four Seasons Resort Jimbaran Bay, and the Four Seasons Jakarta.
In addition, he has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Germany, Melbourne, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, and Malang, with his works now widely collected by private and corporate collectors internationally.
Indra’s paintings are particularly known for their elegant depictions of Balinese dancers, through which he captures the grace, rhythm, and cultural richness of traditional dance forms, reinforcing his position as one of Bali’s prominent contemporary artists.
