Zhang Xi Hua
Zhang Xi Hua is recognized for his depictions of the landscapes and cultural life surrounding him. His paintings reflect the atmosphere, colours, and moods drawn from his immediate environment. He studied in the Department of Oil Painting at the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang from 1955 to 1964, receiving formal academic training that shaped his technical foundation.
Over his career, Zhang received numerous accolades, including First Prize at the 30th Anniversary Exhibition of Liaoning Province in 1979 and awards at major national exhibitions in 1987. He served as Vice President of the Liaoning Ya Lu Watercolour Association and as a member of the Chinese Artists Association, and is recognized as a Grade 1 national artist in China. His works have been exhibited widely across Asia.
