Sabri is a self-taught painter who began working in 1970. He has participated in group exhibitions including the Ministry of Education and Culture (Depdikbud), Jakarta (1991), and Balai Budaya, Jakarta (1993). Building his practice outside formal academies, Sabri developed a personal visual language through sustained studio work and exhibition activity.
