Wang Keju
Wang Keju is a leading contemporary Chinese landscape painter. He graduated from the Shandong Academy of Fine Arts in 1983 and later became Head of the Painting Department at the Xu Beihong School of Arts. Rooted in the shanshui tradition, his work combines classical Chinese aesthetics with the expressive qualities of oil painting.
Wang’s landscapes emphasize atmosphere, light, and emotional depth rather than direct representation. A recurring subject in his work is Gulangyu Island, where architecture, nature, and memory converge. His works have been widely exhibited and are held in major collections, including the National Art Museum of China.
